We’re back with your weekly recommendations, including two great films on Netflix and a whole lot of Michelle Williams. Check out our recommendations for this week!

IF YOU WANT AN INCREDIBLE TRUE STORY

THE SWIMMERS

Vincent Georgie: Selected as the Opening Night film for TIFF 2022, this is an unbelievable story of resilience, sisterhood and death-defying odds. While the Olympic story is important, it’s the refugee story that makes this film worthwhile.

Synopsis: Two Syrian sisters flee their war-torn home in Damascus and swim for hours in choppy Mediterranean seas to reach Greece as asylum seekers before going on to compete at the Rio Olympic Games.

Vincent Georgie: This is a sobering and important true story. An impressive look inside the politics of the US military.
