One of the hallmarks of that time period is her lead performance as a woman who progressively realizes that she is profoundly allergic to everything around her, the totality of her environment. The film is a cold one, but Moore’s performance is anxious, vulnerable, and on the brink of disaster from beginning to end. Watch it and stare at Moore for the entire run time.
