The Windsor International Film Festival kicked off Monday with solid attendance and excitement for the week ahead.
“It’s gone really well, we had 1,000 high school students bused in from across Southwestern Ontario to see the first screenings,” said Vincent Georgie, WIFF’s executive director and chief programmer.
Word is spreading and people are coming
“It’s really livened up the downtown. People who normally wouldn’t come downtown are coming downtown.”
There are 143 films from 21 countries being screened a total of 218 times Monday through Sunday during the 14th edition of WIFF .
