Vincent Georgie: Highly regarded at its World Premiere at TIFF 2023, this outstanding drama is finally being released. Anchored by a trio of excellent performances by Natasha Lyonne, Carrie Coon and Elizabeth Olsen, this one punches way above its weight. Strong script.
Synopsis: Three distant sisters reunite in NYC to care for their sick father. Tensions rise as they confront past issues, aiming to heal family bonds amid laughter and tears.

Vincent Georgie: Singular, highly creative, witty, visually original and, flat out just odd. Take a look at Quebec filmmaker Matthew Rankin’s first film. His most recent film, Universal Language, has big buzz surrounding it ahead of its appearance at WIFF 2024.
Synopsis: A re-imagining of the formative years of former Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King.

Vincent Georgie: Most people have forgotten this sentimental romance, and even more people have forgotten that none other than Steven Spielberg directed it. It’s a touching, beautifully made and appealingly cast film.
Synopsis: Aerial firefighter Pete (Richard Dreyfuss) risks himself and his vintage World War II airplane in a constant and death-defying quest to fight forest wildfires, much to the dismay of his girlfriend, Dorinda (Holly Hunter). His love for Dorinda and the advice of fellow pilot Al (John Goodman) convince Pete to give up his perilous career, but he flies one last mission. Pete heroically saves Al’s plane from certain destruction, but with supernatural consequences.

Vincent Georgie: One of the most hotly anticipated films at WIFF 2024 is Anora. The film won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Director Sean Baker has developed a track record of showing the lives of seemingly marginal people in the US and showcasing their minor triumphs and major challenges. Take a look at two gems from this filmmaker that has now exploded onto the scene.
Sin-Dee is back. Upon hearing that her pimp boyfriend was unfaithful during the days she was jailed, the sex worker and her friend, Alexandra, set out to get to the bottom of this. Their odyssey leads them through the subcultures of Los Angeles.
