if you want SOMETHING PROVOCATIVE

modern whore

Vincent Georgie: Based upon star/subject Andrea Werhun’s autobiographical novel of the same name, this film offers a humourous, honest and often surprising account of an unconventional life.

Synopsis: Andrea Werhun portrays her past roles as escort Mary Ann, stripper Sophia, and her OnlyFans presence, all part of her Toronto sex work journey.

Available on Apple TV and YouTube.

if you want TO SEE WHAT THE BUZZ IS ABOUT

the drama

Vincent Georgie: A steady hit at the box office, there is a central bomb-drop of a central conceit that sets off the literal drama at hand. While the plot wears thin at times, the circumstances, reactions and dynamics are original and unimaginable.

Synopsis: An explosive confession throws the wedding of a seemingly perfect couple off the rails as they spiral to confront whether they can truly make it to “I do.”

Available on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and YouTube.

if you want VINTAGE SUNDANCE

in the company of men

Vincent Georgie: his men-behaving-badly black comedy is the kind of indie hit that made Sundance a legend for all-night bidding wars. Though largely forgotten, the ferocious performance of star Aaron Eckhart is worth the watch.

Synopsis: Chad (Aaron Eckhart) and Howard (Matt Malloy) are junior executives working in the Midwest who are sent on a six-week business trip, with Howard in charge of the project. Both are suffering from recent breakups with their girlfriends, and, in a twisted game of male domination, they vengefully plot to both romance a deaf secretary (Stacy Edwards) with the intention of simultaneously breaking up with her and thus destroying her fragile self-esteem.

DOUBLE FEATURE

faye dunaway

Vincent Georgie: The storied actress is unlikely to be winning any congeniality prizes or public relations notices, but no matter. Her blazing, iconic work in many films can be easily boiled down to 2 magnificent starring roles.

bonnie & clyde

Small-time crook Clyde Barrow (Warren Beatty) tries to steal a car and winds up with its owner’s daughter, dissatisfied small-town girl Bonnie Parker (Faye Dunaway). Their crimes quickly spiral from petty theft to bank robbery, but tensions between the couple and the other members of their gang–hapless driver C.W. (Michael J. Pollard), Clyde’s suave older brother Buck (Gene Hackman) and Buck’s flibbertigibbet wife, Blanche (Estelle Parsons) –could destroy them all.

Available on Apple TV, YouTube, and Amazon Prime.

network

In this lauded satire, veteran news anchorman Howard Beale (Peter Finch) discovers that he’s being put out to pasture, and he’s none too happy about it. After threatening to shoot himself on live television, instead he launches into an angry televised rant, which turns out to be a huge ratings boost for the UBS network. This stunt allows ambitious producer Diana Christensen (Faye Dunaway) to develop even more outrageous programming, a concept that she takes to unsettling extremes.

Available on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and YouTube.
