Vincent Georgie: Thanks to an appealing cast lead by Channing Tatum and Kristen Dunst, filmmaker Derek Cianfrance returns with a surprisingly effective, entertaining and quality crime caper. Truth is always stranger than fiction. One of the better films of 2025.
Synopsis: After escaping from prison, former soldier and professional thief Jeffrey Manchester finds a hideout inside a Toys “R” Us, surviving undetected for months while planning his next move. However, when Jeffrey falls for a divorced mom, his double life starts to unravel, setting off a compelling and suspenseful game of cat and mouse as his past closes in.
Vincent Georgie: A real favourite from WIFF 2025, this film is a deeply humane, well-acted and memorable drama. Strong recommendation here.
Synopsis: Souleymane, an asylum-seeking cyclist who delivers meals in Paris, has only two days to prepare for a crucial interview. This interview will determine his residence permit status.
Vincent Georgie: Chill a bottle of bubbles and stay-in with your sweetheart, as you take in an all-timer of a romantic comedy. Gregory Peck and especially Audrey Hepburn are at the top of their appeal in this high quality classic. A memorable evening is guaranteed.
Synopsis: Overwhelmed by her suffocating schedule, touring European princess Ann (Audrey Hepburn) takes off for a night while in Rome. When a sedative she took from her doctor kicks in, however, she falls asleep on a park bench and is found by an American reporter, Joe Bradley (Gregory Peck),who takes her back to his apartment for safety. At work the next morning, Joe finds out Ann’s regal identity and bets his editor he can get exclusive interview with her, but romance soon gets in the way.
Available on Apple TV and Amazon Prime.
Vincent Georgie: Clooney is an old-Hollywood leading man, and you will surely enjoy his performance in the new film Jay Kelly, appearing at WIFF Presents next week.
Let’s take a look back at 2 of his best, and most appealing performances. The first film has Clooney star opposite J.Lo, and both have arguably never been better or more appealing. It’s an excellent crime caper. The second film sees Clooney grown more into his maturity as a leading man, in a taut and intelligent thriller. Both films are top notch.
Meet Jack Foley (George Clooney), the most successful bank robber in the country. On the day he busts out of jail, he finds himself stealing something far more precious than money … Karen Sisco’s (Jennifer Lopez) heart. She’s smart. She’s sexy, and unfortunately for Jack, she’s a Federal Marshal. Now, they’re willing to risk it all to find out if there’s more between them than just the law.
Available on Apple TV, YouTube, and Amazon Prime.
Problem fixer Michael Clayton is brought in to clean up the mess after one of his law firm’s top litigators suffers a breakdown while representing a corrupt chemical corporation in a multi-billion-dollar legal suit. Under pressure to appease the firm’s clients, Clayton finds himself torn between his desire to do the right thing and a pressing need to pay off spiralling personal debts.
