Vincent Georgie: Nominated for 8 Golden Globes this year, and certainly one of the most acclaimed films of 2025, this is an exceedingly well-acted and thoughtfully written film. A hit from WIFF 2025.
Synopsis: Sisters Nora and Agnes reunite with their estranged father, Gustav, a once-renowned director who offers Nora a role in what he hopes will be his comeback film. Nora turns it down, but soon discovers he’s given the part to an eager young Hollywood star. The two siblings must now navigate a complicated relationship with Gustav while dealing with an American actress dropped right into the middle of their complex family dynamics.
Vincent Georgie: Tessa Thompson is nominated for the Best Actress (Drama) Golden Globe for her scorching lead performance, opposite a memorably wild Nina Hoss. Inspired by Ibsen’s play, “Hedda Gabler”.
Synopsis: From writer/director Nia DaCosta comes a provocative, modern reimagining of Henrik Ibsen’s classic play. Hedda (Tessa Thompson) finds herself torn between the lingering ache of a past love and the quiet suffocation of her present life.

Vincent Georgie: Nominated for her lead performance, Australian actress Rose Byrne became a sensation last January at Sundance, and has been on an awards-collecting rampage ever since. She is outstanding in this surprisingly entertaining and frequently funny exploration of the tensions of motherhood.
Synopsis: With her life crashing down around her, Linda tries to navigate her daughter’s mysterious illness, her absent husband, a missing person, and an increasingly hostile relationship with her therapist.

Vincent Georgie: Nominated for 9 and 7 Golden Globes respectively, these two films will collect the lion’s share of prizes. What do they have in common? A lot, actually. Both present big, bold visions of worlds that are vivid and frequently surreal, utilizing outstanding production values and original, fresh casting choices. Bravo Paul Thomas Anderson, and Ryan Coogler.
Bob is a washed-up revolutionary who lives in a state of stoned paranoia, surviving off-grid with his spirited and self-reliant daughter, Willa. When his evil nemesis resurfaces and Willa goes missing, the former radical scrambles to find her as both father and daughter battle the consequences of their pasts.
