JUST SING
JUST SING is an inspiring coming-of-age musical documentary that follows the SoCal VoCals as they vie for the championship title in the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella— the “Super Bowl of song.” Beyond the high-pressure rehearsals and fierce competition, the film delves into the personal journeys of its members, each facing their own battles in the pursuit of
self-discovery, their dreams in music, and friendship.
From Tiffany, a Mariachi singer determined to build a better future, to Dylan, who embraces his
identity through music, and Janina, grappling with self-doubt on her way to pop stardom, each
individual story is interwoven with the group’s shared ambition. As the season progresses toward the ICCA finals in New York City, the tension grows. Will they triumph with Beyoncé’s
iconic anthem, or will their dreams be dashed? The exhilarating competition is balanced by the
bittersweet reality that their time together is coming to a close, as they confront the inevitable
transition from college to the next chapter of their lives. The end of their college journey mirrors
the bittersweet moment of growing up and moving on.
JUST SING is more than just a tale of music and rivalry—it’s a celebration of friendship, the
pursuit of ambition, and the journey of self-realization. A poignant tribute to the connections
that define us and the voices that shape our identities, this film reminds us that sometimes, the
true victory is not just winning—but discovering who we are and who we’ll become along the
Way.
