Announcing The 2026 Oscar Nominees

This morning, the 98th Oscar nominees were announced in a live broadcast hosted by Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman. Leading the pack with a record-breaking 16 nominations is Sinners. Following close behind with 13 nominations is One Battle After Another.

Overall, WIFF films earned 37 nominations this morning – 16 nominations for films presented throughout the year with WIFF Presents and 21 nominations for official selections of the Festival.
